The EURAC Group and its companies operate to an environmental policy that aims to reduce the companies’ impact in areas such as climate change, waste management and pollution. PDC employs an effective environmental management system that is registered and audited to ISO 14001 : 2004 (International Environmental Standard).

We have achieved outstanding environmental performance for our industry in key areas of our business. For example:

• The amount of waste we send to landfill has been cut by 57 % in five years
• According to a recent audit by the UK Carbon Trust, PDC uses an average of 56 % less energy than other foundries of its type in producing one tonne of castings.

These successes led to PDC being selected for The Manufacturer Awards and Dorset Business Awards for environmental performance in 2008.

We continue to strive for further reductions in energy consumption and the amount of waste we generate.
